1827: At N. Rampart and Conti, a small church was built and dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua.
1903: Fr. Thomas Lorente, a Dominican from the Philippines, came to New Orleans; he would later be commissioned to build a church, St. Anthony.
1915: St. Anthony of Padua was established, blessed, and dedicated to the service of God on August 15.
1920: The first class graduated at St. Anthony School.
1923: St. Anthony's present building was dedicated by Archbishop John Shaw on November 8.
1938: The Filipino priests that had administered St. Anthony were recalled to the Philippines, as that country was in a time of crisis and in dire need of priests.
1962: A new convent was blessed and dedicated for the Dominican Sisters.
1972: Fr. Justin Kauchak, who still lives at the priory today, first came to St. Anthony of Padua.
2008: St. Anthony and Sacred Heart of Jesus united in Christ as one parish.
